Look for the helpers

I get that many people are anxious and scared, so allow me to explain a few things:
-The good people and helpers are still out there. Some of them are in government, yes. A lot are in nonprofits or other positions to help.
-We know what to do. We know how to help. For most of us it is just getting that information out to the people who need it, and yelling over the screaming rage monsters.
-You may feel scared and alone. That’s okay. Take a spring-coated breath. You aren’t alone.
-Most of us are way more capable than we feel. The internet may be a place sowing terror, but it is also a place you can find loads of support. Reach out. Brain storm. Ask people about your problems.

Start here, in this thread. If you have a worry or concern or just can’t think straight because of anxiety I will do my best to make this a safe place to ask even stupid questions. We aren’t alone. Let’s get to being the helpers we need to see.

This post is sticky, but I’ll be updating it as I compile more resources. A lot of my resources will be general, or aimed in the Kentuckiana area, because that is where I’m based. But I am working with other people on this, so who knows.
