Gaming Meme: Day 7 – Favorite game couple

Maybe it’s because I miss the game, and it’s only recently been over, or maybe they really are my favorite, but in the last D&D game I played (3.5) I was Ari, a sun elf fighter perfectionist. I liked the character because she wasn’t snobby but was kick-ass. She was in that coming of age age where she was striking out on her own, from boredom and a desire to push her own boundaries.

My DH played a human monk teen who I had found abandoned in the woods years ago and rescued. To say that the romance between the two was awkward would be an over statement. She still remembered him being a baby. But he could fight as well, if not better than her so she couldn’t deny he was a warrior either. Add on some uncomfy-ness with her own sexuality (and a few in game incidents that made women look weaker for being the “takers” in sex) and yes, there was this beautiful weird tension-frustration thing going on.

So when there was a time jump we decided to make that jump too.
