Mass Abuse Inside Specialty Care Community Exposed
Silver Springs Specialty Care Community is well-known for their rolling green acres and exceptionally high fences. Now, it seems, they’ll be known for something else as well.
This reporter is just one of many to receive an anonymous package, including financial and medical records from Silver Springs as well as graphic photos of battered bodies.
Controversial since it’s opening only a year ago, the care community’s specialty left locals feeling on edge. The danger posed by Silver Springs’ “clients” have been hotly contested.
“We’ve employed expert handlers,” a community spokesperson said in an interview shortly after the community began construction. “And we’ve added hundreds of additional hours of training in crisis management, emergency procedures and nonviolent methods of control. Even grief counselling certificates.”
But the facts are there is no legal certification for the services the community offers. And also no oversight.
Perhaps that’s what led to the outright abuse anonymously reported to so many. Gene Jewels of FOX4 confirmed that his station, too, has received information pertaining to abuses and are preparing their own investigation.
Meanwhile the public has to wonder what has happened to their loved ones. Hopefully they can’t be found in these papers. The viciousness of this abuse is stunning. One can hardly expect employees to be able to cry self defense when words have been slashed or beaten into the infirm bodies of those Silver Springs was paid handsomely to care for, “specially”.
